Painting our roads, with the dirt from our roads.
This collection of paintings was inspired by our iconic Oklahoma Red Dirt Roads, and made in celebration of our beautiful land and our gravel biking community. I began my own first season of gravel bike training last fall and along the way I was inspired to paint my experiences using artisan pigment that I created from the Red Dirt of our local roads.
Hackleman and Chisholm roads in Payne and Noble County near Lake McMurtry are some of my favorite rides and are also the sources of the dirt for my handmade paint.
